kgb was founded in 1992 with a dream: build dynamic companies that disrupt the status quo, delight customers, improve people's lives, and provide a return to investors.
kgb began as INFONXX, a small directory assistance provider. The team faced daily challenges and constantly reprioritized while staying committed to the goal through what it calls the fog of chaos.
Making a business successful takes commitment. It is rarely a straight upward line. kgb's approach is to be the nurturing investor prepared to listen, help, and work through the short-term near-disasters that come with a long-run vision.
kgb has invested in and operated businesses with and for others for almost three decades. It completed its last external fundraising in 2003 and has been closed to new investors since that time.
